About Jaeger

The company was founded in the year 1924 by Johannes Jaeger and his brother Hermann as a conventional weaving mill that manufactured silk tapes and hat-bands. The company’s products were in perfect accord with the fashion trends at the time. In the “Roaring Twenties” art and culture experienced an upswing. Social life was exuberant, and decorative ribbons were an indispensable fashion accessory. In the 1950s, the company expanded its range of products to include technical textiles. Over the decades Jaeger has been able to increase its know-how to every aspect when it comes to the production of functionally-oriented textile products.

Today the company specialises in the development and manufacture of products based on textile and synthetic components for a wide range of industrial applications.


PBN partnered with Jaeger to introduce specifically designed tapes for the automotive industry some 20 years ago. These tapes have become the industry standard for twin stitched seams. PBN are now exporting this tape worldwide.

Jaeger produces a wide range of technical tapes for the automotive industry. Typical applications, rear shelf tapes, seam reinforcements for seats, IP’s particularly on twin stitched seams. Now seam sealing tapes designed specifically for the automotive sector. Thanks to their expertise in the area of technical textiles, Jaeger is particularly capable of complying with the high standards prevailing in the automotive industry.

Anti-Squeak Tape

The golden rule is to avoid squeaking noises in cars. Jaegers tried-and-tested anti-squeak tapes are used to minimise or even prevent noises, e.g. in seats, interior mirrors and fittings. Jaeger produce s anti-squeak tapes in any design.
